Sage has been used in cooking and traditional herbal preparations for centuries. Its leaves contain aromatic compounds and antioxidants that have attracted scientific interest, particularly for their potential effects on inflammation and cognitive function.
However, claims that sage tea can fight dementia, cure arthritis, rebuild bones, or replace medical treatment are not supported by sufficient clinical evidence. Sage can be enjoyed as a traditional herbal beverage, but it should complement—not replace—appropriate medical care.
