Grandma Doris’s 4-Ingredient Chocolate Caramel Crunch Bars

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Line an 8 × 8-inch or 9 × 9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Crush the salted pretzels into small pieces. Don’t turn them completely into powder—you want some texture and crunch.

Press the crushed pretzels firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.

Bake for 8–10 minutes, then remove and allow the crust to cool slightly.

Step 2: Add the Caramel

Warm the caramel sauce gently in a saucepan or microwave until it becomes easy to spread.

Pour it over the pretzel crust and spread it into an even layer.

Make sure the caramel reaches the edges so every piece gets that delicious chewy center.

Step 3: Make the Chocolate Topping

Melt the chocolate chips gently in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each one until smooth.

Warm the peanut butter separately until slightly softened.

Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer.

Drop small spoonfuls of peanut butter across the chocolate, then use a toothpick or knife to create beautiful swirls.

Step 4: Chill

Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the caramel and chocolate have firmed up completely.

Step 5: Slice and Serve

Lift the chilled dessert from the pan using the parchment paper.

Cut into small squares with a sharp knife.

The combination of salty pretzels, buttery caramel, creamy peanut butter, and rich chocolate creates that irresistible sweet-and-salty flavor Grandma Doris knew so well.

Keep the bars refrigerated until serving, especially if your kitchen is warm.

Four simple ingredients, one unforgettable dessert—and a pan that somehow always disappears from the picnic table! 🍫🥨✨
