Ultimate Double Cheeseburger Pizza Stack

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Place the ground beef in a large bowl.

Add the beaten eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Mix gently until everything is evenly combined. Don’t overwork the meat, or the patties can become dense.

Step 2: Shape the patties

Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions.

Shape each portion into a large, thin patty slightly larger than the diameter of your pizza layers.

Making the patties relatively thin helps them cook evenly and makes the finished stack easier to eat.

Step 3: Cook the beef

Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.

Cook the patties in batches for approximately 3–4 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through.

For food safety, ground beef should reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

Transfer the cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels.

Step 4: Prepare the pizza bases

If using prepared pizza dough, divide it into two portions and shape each into a round.

Place the dough on baking sheets or pizza pans.

Brush the edges lightly with olive oil.

Bake according to the dough instructions until the crusts are lightly golden and sturdy enough to support the layers.

Allow them to cool for a few minutes.

Step 5: Build the first layer

Place one pizza crust on a large baking sheet or serving board.

Spread a layer of pizza sauce over the crust.

Add a layer of shredded mozzarella.

Place several pepperoni slices over the cheese.

Top with two cooked beef patties.

Add another layer of cheese and a little more pizza sauce.

Step 6: Add the second burger layer

Place another pair of beef patties on top.

Add mozzarella or provolone cheese.

Arrange another layer of pepperoni over the cheese.

Repeat the process until you’ve used all the beef patties.

Step 7: Finish the top

Place the second pizza crust on top of the stack.

Spread pizza sauce over the surface.

Cover generously with shredded mozzarella.

Arrange the remaining pepperoni slices across the top.

Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

Step 8: Bake the entire stack

Carefully place the assembled stack into a 375°F (190°C) oven.

Bake for approximately 10–15 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted and bubbling and the pepperoni is lightly crisp around the edges.

Keep an eye on the stack so the top doesn’t become overly browned.

Step 9: Rest before slicing

Remove the cheeseburger pizza stack from the oven.

Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before cutting.

This gives the melted cheese time to settle and makes the stack much easier to slice.

Step 10: Slice and serve

Using a sharp knife, cut the stack into thick wedges.

Serve immediately while the cheese is hot and stretchy.

For an extra indulgent meal, serve with garlic sauce, ranch dressing, marinara sauce, or extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Tip: Because this is an extremely tall and rich stack, you can make smaller individual stacks instead. They are much easier to assemble, bake, and serve while still delivering all the cheeseburger-and-pizza flavors.
