1. Brown the beef
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and diced onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is tender.
Drain any excess grease.
2. Add the flavor
Stir in the minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for about 1 minute, then season with salt and pepper.
3. Make the filling
Add the drained green beans and cream of mushroom soup. Stir everything together until well combined and heated through.
4. Layer the casserole
Spread the beef mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
5. Add the tater tots
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
6. Bake
Bake uncovered for approximately 35–45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
For extra-crispy tots, you can broil for 1–2 minutes at the end—watch closely so they don’t burn.
7. Serve
Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes, then scoop and serve warm.
Cheesy, creamy, crispy, and so satisfying! 🥔🧀❤️
