Paula Deen’s 5-Minute Fudge

  • by

1. Prepare the pan

Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it with butter.

2. Make the sugar mixture

Add the sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt to a medium saucepan.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a full boil.

3. Boil briefly

Once it reaches a full boil, continue cooking for approximately 5 minutes, stirring constantly so the mixture doesn’t scorch.

4. Add the chocolate

Remove the saucepan from the heat.

Immediately stir in the milk chocolate chips and miniature marshmallows. Continue stirring until completely melted and smooth.

5. Add vanilla and nuts

Stir in the vanilla extract and chopped nuts if using.

6. Pour into the pan

Quickly pour the hot fudge mixture into the prepared pan.

Spread the top evenly with a spatula.

7. Let it set

Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature until firm, or refrigerate for about 1–2 hours for faster setting.

8. Slice

Lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper and cut into small squares.

Rich, creamy, chocolatey, and unbelievably easy—this is the kind of fudge that disappears before you know it! 🍫❤️
