DIY Aloe Vera Hand Mask: A Natural Way to Soften Dry Hands

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons fresh aloe vera gel
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Step 1: Prepare the Aloe

Cut a fresh aloe vera leaf.

Scoop out the clear gel with a spoon.

Avoid using the yellow latex layer just beneath the skin of the leaf, as it can be irritating.

Step 2: Mix

Combine:

  • Aloe vera gel
  • Honey
  • Olive oil
  • Lemon juice (if using)

Mix until smooth.

Step 3: Apply

Massage the mixture over clean hands, paying extra attention to dry areas such as:

  • Knuckles
  • Fingers
  • Cuticles
  • Backs of the hands

Step 4: Leave It On

Allow the mask to sit for 15–20 minutes.

For a deeper treatment, wear lightweight cotton gloves while the mask is on.

Step 5: Rinse

Wash off with lukewarm water.

Pat your hands dry and apply a fragrance-free hand cream to lock in moisture.

How Often to Use

Apply the mask 2–3 times per week, or whenever your hands feel especially dry.
