Cataracts are one of the most common causes of cloudy or blurred vision as people get older. Many seniors notice that colors appear less vivid, headlights become more difficult to tolerate at night, reading becomes harder, or their vision gradually becomes hazy. Because these changes can develop slowly, it is understandable that many people search for a simple natural remedy before considering cataract surgery.
One of the claims circulating online suggests that a single spoonful of a special powder can “reset” a cloudy eye, remove cataracts, and restore crystal-clear vision within days. Although this sounds appealing, there is no proven powder, food, or homemade remedy that can dissolve an established cataract and replace the need for appropriate eye care.
A cataract develops when the normally transparent lens inside the eye becomes cloudy. The lens is responsible for helping focus light onto the retina, and when it becomes opaque, vision can gradually become blurry. A person may experience faded colors, difficulty reading, glare around lights, poor night vision, or frequent changes in their eyeglass prescription.
This is very different from ordinary tired eyes or temporary blurry vision caused by dryness. If cloudy vision continues or progressively worsens, an eye examination is important because several different eye conditions can produce similar symptoms.
