The image shows coarse white salt, but it is not possible to determine from the picture alone whether it is Epsom salt, sea salt, or another type. Do not eat two tablespoons of an unidentified salt as a remedy. Salt taken in excess can be harmful, and there is no good evidence that swallowing salt can eliminate bone, nerve, or cartilage pain or cure anxiety, depression, or insomnia.
If you are looking for a relaxing way to use Epsom salt, a bath is a much safer traditional approach.
