4-Ingredient Chicken, Ham and Cheese Bread

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

Roll the dough into a large rectangle. Place it on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 2: Add the Filling

Arrange the cooked chicken down the center of the dough.

Layer the ham over the chicken, followed by the shredded cheese.

Keep the filling in the center and leave several inches of dough on both sides.

Step 3: Create the Braid

Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, make diagonal cuts on both sides of the dough, stopping before reaching the filling.

Fold the strips of dough over the filling, alternating sides as you go.

Continue until the entire filling is covered and you have a beautiful braided loaf.

Step 4: Bake

Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 25–30 minutes, or until the bread is puffed and deeply golden brown.

The cheese should be melted and bubbling inside.

If the top begins browning too quickly, loosely cover it with foil for the remainder of the baking time.

Step 5: Rest and Slice

Let the bread rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

This gives the melted cheese a chance to settle so it doesn’t all run out when you cut into it.

Slice into thick pieces and serve warm.

The combination of golden baked dough, tender chicken, salty ham, and gooey melted cheese makes this an incredibly satisfying lunch with almost no effort.

It’s perfect for busy weekdays, weekend lunches, picnics, or whenever you need something quick that the whole family will love.

Four ingredients, minimal effort, and one seriously delicious lunch! 🧀🍗🥓🥖
