The young bride looked at her husband with a mixture of curiosity and nervousness.
“Darling,” she said, “you know I don’t know anything about making love. Can you show me?”
Her husband smiled and took a deep breath.
“Well, my dear… to begin with, you must…”
He paused dramatically.
She leaned closer, waiting for his answer.
“You must first understand that this is not something you need to be nervous about,” he said. “It is something a husband and wife should discover together—with patience, trust, communication, and plenty of affection.”
The bride smiled.
“So you aren’t going to make fun of me?”
“Of course not,” he replied. “Nobody is born knowing everything. The most important thing is that we feel comfortable with each other and can talk openly.”
She nodded.
“And what comes next?”
“First,” he said, “we make sure the door is locked.”
She immediately looked toward the bedroom door.
“Good idea.”
“And then,” he continued, “we turn off the television, put away our phones, and stop worrying about everything else.”
She laughed.
“That sounds less complicated than I expected.”
“Exactly,” he said. “A happy marriage isn’t about knowing all the answers. It’s about learning together.”
The bride smiled and rested her head on his shoulder.
“Well, my dear,” she said, “I think I married the right teacher.”
He laughed.
“And I think I married a very good student.”
Sometimes the funniest moments in marriage aren’t about knowing exactly what to do. They’re about being able to laugh together, communicate honestly, and feel comfortable enough to ask questions without embarrassment.
